MeteoSwiss operates the CN-MET wind analysis & forecasting system for nuclear incidents in Switzerland & neighboring countries
MeteoSwiss operates the CN-MET wind analysis and forecasting system for nuclear incidents in Switzerland and neighboring countries. It comprises a monitoring network that has been optimised for this specific purpose, along with the COSMO-1 weather forecasting model. This combination of measurements and the COSMO-2 model provides an important basis for the provision of emergency management in Switzerland.
In close cooperation with the Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (ENSI), MeteoSwiss has developed the CN-MET (Centrale Nucléaire et METéorologie) wind analysis and forecasting system, which began operating at the end of 2009. This system includes a large number of special measuring devices as well as the COSMO-1 weather forecasting model.
The combination of precise measurements and high-resolution model forecasts makes it possible to determine wind fields and weather developments around Switzerland's nuclear power stations and those in neighbouring countries and thus to calculate the dispersion of contaminated air masses. Both the ENSI and the National Emergency Operations Centre (NAZ) use the information to assess the current situation. July 27, 2018 – Nuclear power plants in Europe have been forced to cut back electricity production because of warmer-than-usual seawater.
Plants in Finland, Sweden and Germany have been affected by a heat wave that has broken records in Scandinavia and the British Isles and exacerbated deadly wildfiresalong the Mediterranean.
Air temperatures have stubbornly lingered above 90 degrees in many parts of Sweden, Finland and Germany, and water temperatures are abnormally high — 75 degrees or higher in the usually temperate Baltic Sea.
That's bad news for nuclear power plants, which rely on seawater to cool reactors.
Finland's Loviisa power plant, located about 65 miles outside Helsinki, first slightly reduced its output on Wednesday. "The situation does not endanger people, [the] environment or the power plant," its operator, the energy company Fortum, wrote in a statement.
The seawater has not cooled since then, and the plant continued to reduce its output on both Thursday and Friday, confirmed the plant's chief of operations, Timo Eurasto. "The weather forecast [means] it can continue at least a week. But hopefully not that long," he said.
Eurasto says customers have not been affected by the relatively small reduction in output, because other power plants are satisfying electricity demand. The power plant produced about 10 percent of Finland's electricity last year.
The company also cut production at the Loviisa facility in 2010 and 2011, also due to warm water, but Eurasto said this summer's heatwave has been more severe than previous ones.
Nuclear power stations in Sweden and Germany have also reduced production because of cooling problems, Reuters reported. A spokesperson for Sweden's nuclear energy regulator told the wire service on Tuesday that the Forsmark nuclear power plant in Sweden had cut energy production "by a few percentage points."
Cooling issues at nuclear power plants may get worse in the future. Climate change is causing global ocean temperatures to rise and making heat waves more frequent and severe in many parts of the world. A 2011 report by the Union of Concerned Scientists warned that warmer seas could affect the efficiency of nuclear power plants, noting:
"...during times of extreme heat, nuclear power plants operate less efficiently and are dually under the stress of increased electricity demand from air conditioning use. When cooling systems cannot operate, power plants are forced to shut down or reduce output."
It's not just warmer oceans that could spell trouble for nuclear power plants. Climate change is also producing more powerful storms and contributing to drought conditions, threatening facilities on coasts with wave and wind damage, and reducing the amount of water available to plants that cool their reactors with fresh water.

The Targeted Individuals living nearby U.S. nuclear power plants are 160,876,377 people by the official 2010 US Census. The next official census starts in 2020. The poor souls live within range of a leaking nuclear power plant and catch radiation poisoning. All nuke power plants leak radiation; the nukes leak on purpose. The Rad cannot be contained; so, they are built that way. No, the nuke power plants cannot be sued. The rich owners think the trade-off for your health and life is worth the money. I do not. No Agency will tell you this. All physicists know this is true. Their jobs depend on their not telling you.
The Individuals in the Targeted Area are exposed to the measured Cumulative Gamma Rad for 2019 YTD PLUS 2018 of: 7,094,240,399 CPM January 2018 Plus YTD 2019. All cities on the list are measuring excessive radiation. Source: RadNet Gamma radiation readings are reported by the hour throughout the year. Radiation covers the US like a deadly blanket. That’s 8,760 cpm hourly reports on each city listed in a year. That’s 8,784 cpm hourly reports in a leap year. The Radiation is cumulative so the Total Gamma Radiation continues to increase as long as humans continue to produce the Rads with nuclear power factories and nuclear detonations.
One way to measure the Rad became widespread in the States. That is, by measuring, recording and publishing the Total Gamma Radiation at ground level at many locations in the United Stat;es. Those Rad Numbers are presented in the above chart. Starting the Rad Count over at the first of the year is the convention. That is misleading to non-physicists. I reject that standard start-over practice as silly. It is absurd to think that Billions of Rad Counts JUST GO AWAY ON JANUARY 1 EACH YEAR.
Weekly increases in radiation are way too high a price to pay in deaths and lost health; in addition to just being the wrong thing to do. Most politicians say nuclear bombs are good. Note: Colorado Springs data was WITHHELD for 2006 and 2007, and continues to be WITHHELD by the powers that be. I wonder what really happened around Colorado Springs in 2006 and 2007, don’t you?
Once emitted from the nuclear power plant, the Rad travels with the wind. Much of it goes around the world and is detected on the West Coast of the United States. Nuke power plants add to the deadly radiation every minute of every day. There are 525,600 total minutes in 2019. All cities on the list are measuring excessive radiation: 2,930,631,893 CPM YTD 2019. Dr. John Gofman, Medical Director of the Livermore Nuclear Weapons Lab famously called that kind of thing “premeditated murder.” “This is a bad situation for all who breathe,” states EU physicist Dr. Paolo Scampa.
Bottom-line, this is way too much radiation for humans to take. I despise the inhuman people responsible for this worldwide calamity. Tell your smart friends; the others, not so much; they will not believe you. The Perps knew exactly what they were doing and did it anyway. That’s textbook psychopathic behavior and a whole bucketload of Criminal Acts.
Denial is very strong in Americans; expect it often. Don’t let it get you down; there are millions of folks who know the score on the Rad. Persevere, Find Others. Figure out what to do.
All cities with RadNet Total Gamma Radiation counters are above the Maximum Safe Gamma Radiation Level. Their killer attack on your body’s trillions of cells never ceases. It did not used to be that way y’know – back in the day. There were only four radioactive Isotopes then in existence and their Decay products. They were mostly in the ground. Today there are 1,946 known radioactive Isotopes in existence in our atmosphere. The known Gamma radioactive Isotopes are measured by RadNet and reported here. Cell assassins, like Plutonium 239, and its brothers were never around; they did not exist on this Planet. RadNet has largely stopped reporting radioactive Beta counts. No explanation was given.
What started Rad Counting? DC got zapped. RadNet measured and recorded 7.38billion Beta radiation counts in Washington, DC in 2006. Only a few countries possessed that kind of nuke power for excursions; including the United States of America. The Perps and/or corporation(s)/country or countries that caused the radiation excursion to occur never have been identified publicly. Speculation varies widely.
Who did it? Recorded by RadNet, it displayed the real radiation threat to life and limb. RadNet measures and records Raw Total Gamma Radiation in Counts per Minute and nSv/Hour. Beta Counts are measured and recorded on various occasions. RadNet started publishing radiation data in 2006. I suspect strongly the nine Nuclear Weapons Labs collected the radiation data for years before 2006. To date, the Radiation Counts before 2006 are not released to the public.
Max Normal Safe Level – The United States is a very radioactive country now. No cities are below the MaxNormalSafeLevel; all cities are above safe level. This includes cities and towns not on the list. The raw records of Total Gamma Radiation are easily accessible with a computer and a fast Internet connection at RadNet, a directorate of the EPA. RadNet simply presents the raw Total Gamma Radiation data. I process the raw data to a useable form. Use a fast InterNet connection or run the look-ups as a background task. Either way, you get the data yourself. Conclusion. The amount of Rad in the air now dooms humanity to a relatively quick extinction. Jan. 20-24, 2014 (emphasis added): 2011 Fukushima Fall Out: Aerial Deposition On To Sea Ice Scenario And Wildlife Health Implications To Ice-Associated Seals (Dr. Doug Dasher, John Kelley, Gay Sheffield, Raphaela Stimmelmayr). We present results on gamma analysis (cesium 134 and 137) of muscle tissue from control and diseased seals, and discuss wildlife health implications from different possible routes of exposure to Fukushima fallout to ice seals. Since the Fukushima fallout period occurred during the annual sea ice cover period from Nome to Barrow, a sea ice based fallout scenario in addition to a marine food web based one is of particular relevance for the Fukushima accident. Under a proposed sea ice fallout deposition scenario, radionuclides would have been settled onto sea ice. Sea ice and snow editor’s note - index: snow would have acted as a temporary refuge for deposited radionuclides; thus radionuclides would have only become available for migration during the melting season and would not have entered the regional food web in any appreciable manner until breakup (pulsed release). The cumulative on-ice exposure for ice seals would have occurred through external, inhalation, and non-equilibrium dietary pathways during the ice-based seasonal spring haul-out period for molting/pupping/breeding activities. Additionally, ice seals would have been under dietary/metabolic constraints and experiencing hormonal changes associated with reproduction and molting.

Airborne Contamination in California
Several massive pulses of radionuclides were released to the atmosphere from Fukushima between March 12 and 18, 2011 – 134Cs and 137Cs persisted at trace levels – in on-going air monitoring at Berkeley through the end of 2012.
Rainwater Contamination in California
March 2011 was an unusually wet month in California (~200% of normal monthly precipitation in the Bay Area) due to several large storms which resulted in discrete wet deposition events on March 18-20 and 22-26 - 134Cs and 137Cs were present, at low levels, after 70 days. However, it is worth noting that low levels of radioactive cesium were still detectable in rainwater during subsequent wet seasons in 2012 and 2013, reflecting the continued presence of Fukushima-derived cesium in the atmosphere.
Food Chain Contamination in California
Fukushima-derived radionuclides transferred from the atmosphere to the land through rainout or dry deposition have the potential to contaminate soil and water supplies, and to enter the food chain. Sampling of soil and sediments from several California locations detected a clear pulse of 131I, 134Cs and 137Cs between April – June 2011, with only 137Cs remaining above the pre-accident background thereafter (through Nov 2012). Plant and food samples collected in the Bay Area in April and May 2011 contained detectable concentrations of Fukushima-derived 131I, 134Cs, and 137Cs, indicating that low-level contamination of the water and soil had worked its way into local ecosystems.
Public Health Impacts
Fukushima disaster presented (and continues to present) a low risk to public health relative to other concerns. However, it is worth reiterating that the health implications of exposure to low levels of radiation remain incompletely understood, and that the incremental impacts of the radiation released at Fukushima may be very difficult to separate from those of other radiation sources and the many other causes of disease.

Lonnie Poteet, Hanford worker: I was already burning from my glove line to my t-shirt line and… starting to lose a little bit of vision in my right eye… Why didn’t they say something?
Sander: Poteet describes living his life now as recluse… sharp pains in his head, they cause him to often twitch. He says medication prevents him from collapsing in pain due to severe nerve damage in his brain.
Poteet: More Hanford workers are going to be exposed to the same situation… Nobody is going to do anything to stop it… As long as there’s profit… and they get their bonuses on a decent time, that’s all they care about… Most of the workers onsite right now are running scared. They will not bring up any safety concerns because as soon as you do, you’re going to be labeled and thrown off the site, just as fast as they can go. They’ll either create stuff that never happened, or they’ll find ways to get you.

Sander: Near the end of his almost 20 years at Hanford… he began to develop severe symptoms. Stuttering, memory loss, losing teeth…emotionally unstable…violent outbursts.
Rouse: My son wrote this letter, this little poem, and said that his dad is gone… It would rain the chemicals on you from the stack. That’s why we wore the baseball caps.
Sander: The Washington Dept. of Labor and DOE denied compensation… Since the EEOICPA program began in 2001, they’ve paid more than $1 billion in compensation and medical bills to 6,936 Hanford workers…
Rouse: DOE has always denied everything. And that’s not going to change.
Sander: More Hanford workers continue to file claims for their illnesses.

METI is the regulatory agency over nuclear power… When he and others were downtown in Tokyo, they took samples right there in a garden right outside the door and on the front doormat, and these are really, really high samples. Frightening, because people walking in Tokyo will then be inhaling that dust. What was the film we saw from Japan that had the mothers who were in an area where kids play and run from middle school?
- Caroline Phillips, Fairewinds Energy Education: It’s a fantastic video… it’s a mothers organization, they live in the Fukushima Prefecture and they’re actually using Geiger counters that have been issued by the government. They’re walking along the river [in Fukushima City.]
Maggie Gundersen: What’s so tragic about it - kids are running along dirt paths doing gym class and track and things like that and the mothers are right down in areas that are not posted and the kids can go after school and play, and people do nature hikes and stuff. And the radiation readings are horrific.
GENDAI BUSINESS ONLINE (ARTICLE IN JAPANESE), Jun 14, 2016: [J]ust before the 5th anniversary of the triple meltdown at Fukushima Daiichi, a group of young girls in the city of Minami-Soma rode their bikes to school past a shocked and saddened pedestrian. That upset observer was Arnie Gundersen, nuclear reactor expert… What surprised me at this visit to Japan… is that the decontaminated area is contaminated again, Mr. Gundersen said while explaining why it was such as sad shock to witness the girls on their bicycles. This was not what I had expected. I had thought that we would not find such high doses of radiation in the decontaminated area. But, sadly, our results prove otherwise.… Gundersen collected samples of dust [though] the official data cannot be released before the publication of formal scientific papers, it is evident that high doses of radiation, usually found in nuclear waste, was detected from these samples. This means that highly radioactive dust is flying around the city. In other words, the decontaminated land is contaminated again. Little girls are affected by the radiation 20 times as much as adult men. The Japanese government’s standard of 20 mSv is based on exposure assessments for adult men. The girls on their bicycles are actually being affected by a radiation dose equivalent to as much as 400 mSv. Mr. Gundersen also pointed out that human lungs are heavily affected by internal exposures to radiation. At this visit, I wore a radiation proof mask that can filter out 99.98% of radiation for six hours. I sent my filter to the lab, and they found a high dose of Cesium. But, unfortunately, the Japanese government only cares about the number on a Geiger counter and does not consider the internal exposure. This has resulted in a hazardous downplay of this kind of data and human lungs are affected by the serious internal exposure.… [T]he radiation from the mountains are coming back to the city by way of wind and rain. Mr. Gundersen noted the extreme radioactive contamination of the mountains… vegetables grown in that area exceed the government’s standard by 1500 Bq. These vegetables were sold at the Michino Eki in Tochigi prefecture, and the bamboo shoot grown in this contaminated region was used for elementary school lunches in Utsunomiya. These school lunches contained more than twice as much radiation as the government’s standard… However, the government continues to push for the end of people’s relocation and force the return to re-contaminated areas… Mr. Gundersen also found that Tokyo remains contaminated. He measured dust… and found a high dose of radiation. That dust is in the air that will be inhaled by the visitors and athletes of the 2020 Olympic Games. Needless to say, the current residents are inhaling it every day…

[Abstract] Of the few microorganisms that have been studied, all underwent rapid changes in the areas heavily contaminated by Chernobyl. Organisms such as tuberculosis bacilli; hepatitis, herpes, and tobacco mosaic viruses; cytomegalovirus; and soil micromycetes and bacteria were activated in various ways. The ultimate long-term consequences for the Chernobyl microbiologic biota may be worse than what we know today. Compared to humans and other mammals, the profound changes that take place among these small live organisms with rapid reproductive turnover do not bode well for the health and survival of other species.
[Article] One gram of soil contains some 2,500,000,000 microorganisms (bacteria, micro-fungi, and protozoa). Up to 3 kg of the mass of an adult human body is made up of bacteria, viruses, and micro-fungi. In spite of the fact that these represent such important and fundamentally live ecosystems there are only scarce data on the various microbiological consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe.

All microorganisms (viruses, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa) and microbiological communities as a whole undergo rapid changes after any additional irradiation. The mechanism of such changes is well known: inclusion and increase in the frequency of mutations by natural selection and preservation of beneficial novel genes that for whatever reason appear more viable under the new conditions. This micro-evolutionary mechanism has been activated in all radioactively contaminated areas and leads to activation of old and the occurrence of new forms of viruses and bacteria.

However, since it is an international interlocking directorate owning the five original Rothschild-founded central banks ... when you sum up the interest payments on the national debts of those five countries, each year the eight families (and the banks they own) who own the founding stock, likely get over $2 trillion dollars each and every year in personal disposable income.
That is why they are the 1% of the 1%, who own 20% of the Fortune 500 in the form of controlling shares of each corporation, and likely the Fortune 1,000, too ...including all the corporations that pollute Earth that comprise the military-industrial-nuclear complex (cartel), all the major banks, oil companies, insurance companies, pharmchem & petrochem corporations and instigate wars and revolutions, sickness and misery, as well as all the corporations that produce and sell weapons, munitions, aerospace and space, food and clothing, cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, sugar, opium-derivation corporations, and so on ...according to the U.S. Revolution Bicentennial U.S. House of Representative Subcommittee on Banking report of 1976.
